Bioremediation
Rhamnolipids provide a cost-effective solution for enhancing the bioremediation of material contaminated with petroleum compounds, heavy metals and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. Even concentrations as low as 0.001% (10 ppm) can help emulsify recalcitrant hydrophobic compounds in challenging work environments (high pH, extreme temperatures, and high salinity). Unlike many other surfactants, rhamnolipids are biodegradable, eliminating a source of secondary pollution in your bioremediation process.
Rhamnolipids can be used in both invasive and non-invasive methods for remediation in both soil and water.
